The Online Guy column ran in the Las Vegas Review-Journal for nearly 13 years. I've written about everything from how businesses use the Internet to how to stay safe using social media sites. I'm a big Apple fan, but also use a PC from time to time. I'm passionate about digital photography and the huge surge in mobile computing. Apps are now as important as what kind of mobile phone people carry.

I operate from the basic premise that your computer is working. I liken the relationship between people and technology much like that between drivers and their vehicles. You don't need to know how the engine works, but you do need to know how to drive. Everyone uses their technology in a unique way. All users are as different as snowflakes.

The fun comes in making sense of today's technology. I hope you find a nugget, or two, to help you make your life easier through technology. Let me know what you'd like to learn more about. Just visit the Contact page and leave me a note. I'll do what I can to answer your questions or address topics you want to know more about.

New columns will appear soon. They'll eventually be moved to the Home page, making it easy to find the latest news and info.

Happy surfing!
